Opportunities to Serve at the Regional Level

NAIDC has four active regions: Northeast, Southern, Midwest and West. Each region has their own active committee that meets regularly to plan their regional events. These events are structured very much like the national contest. However, the emphasis is more on education than competition. As such, schools are invited to bring more than just a 4-member team, allowing them to expose Dairy Challenge to more of their students. Students are placed on aggregate or mixed teams with students from other universities with varying skills and backgrounds. Many volunteers are needed to organize these events. Serving on a regional committee is an excellent way to become exposed to Dairy Challenge and the many ways it benefits the producers, industry and universities it serves.

The NAIDC Board recommends individuals considering running for national board first have experience at the regional level.
